“Good morning New York”

January 22, 2009 · Leave a Comment

travel-innWe made it.

Gloria navigated and we made it amongst the Big Apple drivers to the Travel Inn Hotel  in Midtown Manhattan yesterday afternoon.

This boutique hotel in Midtown Manhattan will be our home away from home for the next several days. It is located three blocks away from the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Sleep was not a problem last night after the lengthy drive from Michigan.

We are up and it is sunny and we’re on the way to get in line for the wait to get into the Javits Center to unload to start the setup process.

Turn off to Philadelphia and BMAC

January 21, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Can you believe that I almost took the exit off the turnpike that would have taken me to Philadelphia a short while ago?

It must be because I have made the trip to BMAC so many times in the past that my van has a mind of its own.

Perhaps it was my subconscious reminding me to tell  you that I have taken a sabbatical and will not be at the Philadelphia Buyer’s Market this year. What a shock it would have been for you to beeline to my booth to find another exhibitor in what you are positive is my space.

We sent a notice out in December but I guess that the possibility exists that you may have missed it while keeping up with the Christmas rush.

That’s OK.

You can just vist me at the New York Gift Show instead. Look for my booth number and other important information later. I need to concentrate on getting there and starting the setup process before doing anything else.

On the road again!

inauguration_680x40

Later today after watching the highlights of the Presidential Inauguration I will be on the road again going to New York City.

It seems as though I really never made it home, but simply drove through Manchester to drop off the dirty laundry and get a few things.

Am I having fun yet?

I will get back to you again after putting a few miles behind me to let you know.

Back from the Atlanta Gift Show

January 19, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Following the Atlanta Gift Show I arrived back in Manchester making it to the office on Thursday after driving all day on Wednesday. Why didn’t I go to Florida with Meghan?

The drive between Atlanta and our Manchester, MI studio covers more than 700 miles. There was no time for rest as the roads were bad to treacherous  7 of the 12 hours that the trip took. It was a white knuckle drive. I braved snow combined with high winds and frigid temperatures.

Thankfully, the show was great adding a measure of relief for the rigors of travel.

As a matter of fact we left the show wondering what the media means by “This economy”.  The mood of the show was upbeat. This was validated by the  many orders that we wrote.

Thanks to all that who had the opportunity to visit our booth. It is always great to renew old acquaintances and to make new friends.

For those who missed us in Atlanta you may want to plan to visit us next week in New York. Check back in a few days for more details.

In the meantime remember that  you can always access wholesale information 24/7 from Sunblossom Solar Gifts from the comfort of your office.
